New Business Development Summer Intern

Job Purpose
The New Business Development intern will support the growth initiatives of the company by assisting with market research, customer outreach, and strategic projects. This role offers hands-on experience in identifying new markets, evaluating opportunities, and contributing to initiatives that drive revenue and expansion. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated student to gain real-world exposure to business strategy within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
 Conduct market research to identify new industries, customers, and growth opportunities
 Analyze competitors, market trends, and potential business segments
 Assist in developing business cases and go-to-market strategies
 Support outreach efforts including prospect research and initial communications
 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations)
 Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries for leadership
 Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning discussions
 Assist with special projects related to new products or market development

Qualifications

 Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or related field
 Strong analytical and research skills

 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
 Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn 
 Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
 Strong interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor when engaging both internally and externally.
 Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities; calm under pressure; solutions oriented.

Physical Requirements
 Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
 Manual dexterity for handling small components.
