Rehab tech

JOB TYPE:  10-20 hours/week (Part Time Position)

*Goal of Purpose Physical Therapy is to transition this position to a full time position as more clients sign up for services

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Physical Therapy tech works under the supervision of the supervising Physical Therapist.  The tech’s role is to support the patient by providing supervised exercise and functional movement activities to allow them to remain as independent as possible in their current living environment. Purpose PT wants to ensure each of our patients has the opportunity to continue their functional movement training to allow them to stay as independent as possible. 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

• Keeps accurate time keeping for each visit

1. Schedules their clients independently

2. Provides maintenance exercise and functional movement tasks which can include ROM, strengthening and gait/balance tasks.

3. Practices safe movement and patient handling with all clients. 

4. Communicates with supervisory PT and caregivers of the client as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED
