Shipping Associate

 RTG Parts is an online retailer of top-quality military surplus, gun parts, magazines, and accessories. We proudly offer our customers an extensive inventory of rare and unusual items, as well as new production U.S. made parts. RTG Parts has been family owned and operated since its inception in 1999.

Job Type: RTG Parts is currently seeking multiple shipping associates to assist with daily operations and expediting customer orders.

Hours: M-F, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Job Description:
- Pull/pack/ship customer orders
- Assemble cardboard boxes; organize stock and maintain inventories; restock materials, as and when required
- Maintain clean workstation; perform general housekeeping to include sweeping floors, removing trash, etc.
- Prepare products for warehouse efficiency (bundling, wrapping, heat-sealing, counting, inspecting, assembling, cleaning, etc.)
- Other related duties as assigned Job Environment: Work is performed inside a warehouse with good ventilation and comfortable temperatures.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Detail oriented
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently
- Team player with a positive and professional disposition
- Interest and knowledge in firearms and weaponry is a plus, but not required
- Shipping & warehouse experience; experience with forklift and pallet jack a plus (willing to train)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks at any given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Solid reading skills: must be able to match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
- Must be able to be on your feet and active
- Must be able to lift and move boxes as heavy as 50 lbs. (average package weight is under 10 pounds)
- Regularly required to walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach - Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crouch

Requirements:
- No felons – cannot be legally prohibited from being around firearms
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Pay Rate: Dependent upon experience, $18-$20 per hour. Advancement opportunities available
