Our store is a vibrant and welcoming space where we offer specialty foods, kitchenware, home décor, fresh flowers, cooking classes, and more.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking an Event Planner/Coordinator to design, coordinate, and execute events at Cottonwood. This role will bring energy and creativity to our teaching kitchen and event spaces—planning cooking classes, scheduling guest instructors, hosting private parties, supporting weddings, and managing special in-store experiences. The Event Planner will work closely with store leadership to support operations and strengthen community connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan & Execute Events: Organize and manage Cottonwood’s calendar of classes, private parties, and community events.
- Instructor & Guest Collaboration: Recruit and coordinate with chefs, artisans, and guest instructors to lead classes and workshops.
- Private Parties & Weddings: Work with clients to design memorable gatherings, from intimate dinners to wedding celebrations, ensuring all details are executed seamlessly.
- Customer Experience: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the event planning process—consulting, booking, and day-of coordination.
- Management Support: Assist store leadership with event logistics, scheduling, budgeting, and staff coordination.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing team to promote events through social media, email, and in-store channels.
- Community Building: Cultivate partnerships with local businesses, vendors, and community members to expand Cottonwood’s event offerings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in event planning, hospitality, culinary coordination, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Flexible schedule—must be available for evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Passion for food, flowers, home, and creating community-centered experiences.
