Job Purpose:
The Production Specialist is responsible for manufacturing high-quality products safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This role supports a variety of production and assembly activities while contributing to quality, continuous improvement, and on-time delivery objectives. Success in this role requires a team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and the flexibility to support changing products, projects, and production priorities while working collaboratively to meet customer, quality, and delivery expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines and equipment to prepare and assemble a wide range of products
Read and interpret Production Orders, drawings, quality control sheets and other production documentation
Follow work instructions to produce conforming and quality products
Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with requirements and quality standards
Perform machine setup and maintenance procedures
Maintain production schedule as outlined by Production Supervisors
Report equipment issues, defects, non-conformances and materials shortages to Production Supervisors
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Work effectively as part of a team - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, engineering, and maintenance
Operate and/or assist with CNC equipment or automated manufacturing equipment (e.g., CNC cutters, automated fabric cutters, pattern cutters, or light machining centers) as required by production needs
Support multiple workstations or processes in a flexible manufacturing environment (cross-training expected).

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math and measurement skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work in a team-oriented production environment and communicate effectively
Willingness to learn and be trained on industrial sewing machines, CNC, and other manufacturing equipment
Reliable attendance and dependability
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience operating industrial sewing machines or similar equipment.
Exposure to CNC or automated manufacturing equipment.
Familiarity with basic hand tools or measurement tools (e.g., tape measures, calipers).
Experience working in a regulated or quality-driven environment (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Basic mechanical aptitude or troubleshooting experience.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent use of hands for assembly and production tasks.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally (from floor to table)
Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and perform repetitive motions.
Visual ability to inspect small parts and read technical documentation.
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and production equipment.
Use of personal protective equipment as required.
May require overtime based on production demands.
