Social studies high school teacher

We are seeking a passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our growing team at Valor Academy! The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive learning environment that encourages students to develop reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking skills through a Biblical worldview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in Social Studies.
• Educate students on various aspects of social studies, including vocabulary, reading comprehension, research, maps, document sourcing, and writing.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate cross-curricular approaches.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.

Skills

• Experience or familiarity with Christian education is advantageous.
