Job description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about mechanics and enjoys working with their hands.
Duties:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other components
- Use cranes and other lifting equipment to safely lift heavy parts and equipment
- Perform suspension repairs
- Conduct brake repairs and replacements
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs
- Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to efficiently complete repairs
- Fabricate or modify parts as needed
-Field Service, Road side service and after hours work may be required.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and electrical systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues
- Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance tasks with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with customers
