The City of Sheridan is actively recruiting a detail-oriented team player with a strong willingness to learn to fill the position of Weed and Pest Technician. This position performs technical duties in the application of chemicals to control weeds and mosquitoes throughout the City of Sheridan. In addition, this position is responsible for participating in the maintenance, upkeep, repair and development of city parks, public areas, pathways and cemetery. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of and comfort with using pesticides, plant identification skills, and the ability to earn a Pesticide Applicator’s License within 6 months of employment. The starting wage for this position is $23.14 hourly.
