Open Position: Administrative Assistant, Human Resources

Salary Range: $40,289.17 to $43,387.03, Grade 12, D.O.E.
Job Summary: This position performs administrative duties in support of Human Resources.

MAJOR DUTIES:
- Answers phones; greets visitors; provides information and assistance related to Human Resources; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
- Organize and schedule appointments.
- Schedules and attends meetings, workshops, and trainings appropriate for the position.
- Composes reports, correspondence, and memoranda.
- Maintains postings and advertising of open positions.
- Assists with special projects and research and prepares and/or completes reports and requested surveys.
- Assist with all employee trainings/education.
- Sets up and maintains current templates for personnel documentation.
- Establishes, maintains, and updates personnel files.
- Performs data entry of personnel information related to benefits and background checks for new hires and employee changes.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google
- Knowledge of personal computers and job-related software programs.
- Skill in the support of excellent customer services.
- Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
- Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
- Skill in time management and the ability to prioritize work.
- Skill in operating computers and other standard office equipment.
- Skill in interpersonal relations.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
